Life has been so hectic here this week that I just haven’t had the time to post anything at all! Unfortunately not much creating has been happening here this week either, so I am going to share cards that I made to do at the demonstration I had last Saturday.

This card uses the Cheers to You stamp set, which is another one of my favourites. I used the Aqua Painters to colour in the beer mugs, and a Blender Pen with Bordering Blue ink around the beer mugs to give them a bit more definition. The Happy Father’s Day sentiment comes from the Occasional Greetings stamp set, which has a bit of everything in it. This card looks fantastic even without the Happy Father’s Day sentiment on it, and is what most of the ladies did when they made it at the demonstration.

I loved the card so much I thought a “girly” version was in order! It would make a cool birthday card! I covered the drinks in Crystal Effects and added a bit of Dazzling Diamonds to finish it off, and it looks fantastic! I will be making a few of these cards to send to my son’s school for their Father’s day stall, and Very Special Kids to sell at their fair in November.

Super Simple Fresh Cuts

Yay! A card that doesnt use the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set! This one was really quick and easy…less than 5 minutes from start to finish! I saw this card on Splitcoaststampers, and fell in love with it. Mine is a little different, I have left the ribbon off and used the same colour for the flowers. This card would look gorgeous as part of a gift set, with each card having different coloured flowers. Mmmm….now the brain is ticking!

I am going to make this card tomorrow at the demonstration I have booked in, and I think the ladies will be amazed by just how quick and easy it is to put together. I’m sure they will love it!

Can you tell this is my favourite stamp set yet??? Right now, this colour combination is my favourite too! I seem to be making everything with Baja Breeze and Basic Gray! I was so pleased with the way this card turned out that I made it again using Pumpkin Pie and Apricot Appeal, and it looks just as good!

Pumpkin Pie Pocket Silhouettes

This is a card that I made a while back using the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set, which is STILL one of my favourites! One of my clients, Deb, has been dying for a photo so that she can CASE (Copy and Share Everything) the card, so she will be very happy with me today for finally posting it!

The card uses one of my favourite techniques at the moment, Poppin’ Pastels. It has taken me such a long time to come around to the pastels, and now I LOVE them!! They are such great value for money too, because you get all four colour families in the box, as well as some neutrals. Grab some Versamark and some sponge daubers, and the possibilities are endless!

Cyberstamp Colour Challenge!

Tonight is the start of the ESAD-SU (Extremely Special Aussie Demonstrators) cyberstamp weekend, and I set the first challenge for the group! I picked the colours So Saffron, Basic Gray and Whisper White, because i struggle to make cards with limited colours. Here’s the card I made to show the girls:

It uses the Great Friend and Oval All Stamp sets, which are available in the new Spring Mini Catalogue, beginning on the 1st of August. The scallop oval punch is in the new mini catalogue too, and I am in love with it!!

My ESAD-SU Secret Sister Card

I received this card in the post on Monday afternoon from my Secret Sister! She has made it using my current favourite stamp set Pocket Silhouettes. The bottom right hand corner is stamped with the Fresh Cuts stamp set. It was so nice to receive “happy” mail in the letterbox, instead of the usual window envelopes!

I am part of a fantastic SU demonstrator group called Extremely Special Aussie Demonstrators-Stampin’ Up! (or ESAD-SU) who have organised this Secret Sister swap. It goes for 3 months, and each month you have to send your Secret Sister at least 2 cards and some sort of handmade gift. At the end of the third month you send your Secret Sister a big gift and let her know who you are! I wont find out who my Secret Sister is until the end of September….and I am dying to know! I have been sending my Secret Sister cards, and am planning to sit down and make her a special gift this weekend to send to her early next week. It was a bit exciting when she posted on the group a photo of the card I sent her along with a thank you note! She has no idea who I am either…..but she should keep her eye on her letterbox because I popped another card in the post yesterday!

A 60th Birthday card!

When I saw this tutorial on how to make a Side Step Card, I knew straight away what I was going to make! It’s for my father-in-law’s 60th birthday, which is coming up in a few weeks time. I used my Big Shot to die cut the presents and words, but everything else is Stampin’ Up!

I have taken a close up photo of the Ute.

DH, DS and I, and even our overgrown puppy, Jim, are all in there! This is the first time I have used this stamp set (brought specifically for this project!!!), but I know I am going to get so much use out of it! It’s very cute, but could make some fantastic masculine cards as well!

Crazy for Cupcakes

I am so in love with this stamp set! I have made many girls birthday cards with this, but was struggling to come up with a male card….until i saw this card posted on Splitcoaststampers. It is almost a complete CASE, it’s just missing the little cupcake circle down the bottom. I am still debating whether to put that bit in or not!
